Card Game Choices

Everest Poker is the place to play the ever popular Texas Holdem. They are currently developing Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, and 7 Card Stuf Hi/Lo… but they aren’t quite ready yet. Okay, as for table stakes you are not going to find any high roller tables here… just a range in between $.02/0.04 on up to only $10/$120. These people are the micro-table stakes specialists, offering many poker games in these lower stakes geared to the beginner player. Deposit/Withdrawal

Everest Poker .com makes it really simple which form of deposit to choose since they only accept NETeller and Credit Cards. Saves your decision-making abilities for the actual card games! Minimums are $20 for NETeller and $5 for Credit Cards, and cash-outs take 1 business day for NETeller. They do have a very secure system through IBS and even offer a disconnect protection for your hand in play (your money in the pot at the point of disconnect is safe and you are marked as all in).

Interface

With software by Grand Virtual, Everest Poker is an online poker site that has burst onto the scene with some very interesting graphics, visuals, and playability. I found it really easy to navigate with some excellent functionality like their table finder in the lobby, which allows you to search for ‘that perfect table’ by limit, stakes or number of players. They offer something I’ve never even seen before, a Training Room, where you learn to play against three virtual robot opponents. As far as avatars go, you can choose a random male or female one, which leads to duplicates at the tables…. giving one a slightly weird ‘Matrix effect’.

Rake

Everest Poker is definitely interested in gaining you as a client, as their rake policy is below industry standard (only 4%!). They have lots of exclusions for when they won’t take a rake such as if the hand ends before the flop (no flop-no drop), if the pot is less than 3X the big blind, on un-called wagers, or on micro-stake tables ($0.02/0.04 stakes). The max rake is $3, but only $1 at a 2-seat table. No rake on Free Play or Points Play games. Pretty generous, I’d say!

Incentives

I’ve got to hand it to them, Everest Poker has come up with some very interesting poker promotions and incentives. Of course, they have a welcome bonus with a twist ($100 FREE with no sign-up or deposit required!), refer-a-friend (score $50 for every friend you bring onto the mountain), but they also are offering a lot of fun things that are either free or cost little to participate in like Cash FREE ROLLS ($1 buy-in and no entry fee!), GiveAway tournaments (where it costs no money to play, but you can win REAL CASH!) and Tokens (which are awarded and can be used for FREE online poker tournament entries!). Interesting stuff going on here… very interesting… and there is something called ‘Summit Points’ coming soon. Keep an eye on them!

Tournaments

Everest Poker is offering quite a nice selection of single and multi-table tournaments… including their smokin’ $1 buy-in with no entry fee tourney, and FREE poker tournaments that allow you to enter with no money and leave with $80! They are really trying to get a big International community going, so there’s lots of tourneys from all over the world.

Now here’s an area that needs some work as they only offer email support, using a form through their website! Now I will say that answers came in a fair amount of time (6 hours), but I’d really like to see at least a phone support added… if not online chat support! Having said that player support is provided in 16 different languages.
